Palm Springs Transgender Mayor Passes Law Financially Incentivizing Changing Gender
Palm Springs is attempting to “out-woke” San Francisco by passing legislation unanimously that provides Universal Basic Income to any of its residents who identify as transgender, no strings attached.
According to the bill, if someone identifies as transgender, they can receive $900 per month in UBI. By basing government assistance based off of become transgender, it sure appears as if the city council is incentivizing people to become transgender.
The mayor of Palm Springs, Lisa Middleton, is transgender who identifies as a woman. According to Fox News, Middleton claimed that “Transgender Americans suffer extremely high rates of under and unemployment. Transgender Americans face enormous challenges living full and authentic lives. Those challenges have increased substantially in the past few years as transgender children and their families have been targeted by extremist legislators and governors.”
A California city is planning to give universal basic income (UBI) to transgender and nonbinary residents.
